Hope

Hope wraps her arms around you

Even when tragedy walks by

 She comforts you in your darkest hour

When you've hit rock bottom

And are drowning in a sea of sadness

She's just like a lifeguard

Bringing you back to the surface

 When you are absolutely helpless

 Her comforting nature

 Will bring you inner peace

 And the strength to hold on

 She is a loyal friend

Always there

And always on your side

This poem made me smile, the personification becomes, for lack of a better word... personal. When I read this it makes me think about how a certain person in my life gives hope, and in a sense IS hope. The words describe perfectly the experience, and how hope is a powerful emotion.
