Which one hurts less?

 

 

The pain of knowing every detail. The pain of knowing the truth.  The truth about everything. 

The pain of knowing that you can't change anything.

 

OR

 

The pain of waiting.  The fear of the pain that comes with the truth.  The pain of not knowing what will happen. 

The pain of knowing that everything can change.

 

 

Which one is better?

 

Which one hurts less?

I came to the realization long ago that for me, it is far better to know and deal with that pain, than to deal with the pain of not knowing which is a thousand times heavier as it has a far deeper grip on the soul and mind, a mixing of many questions that never go away.

One one knows a truth, then they can begin the walk away from it, or to overcome it, or to at least put it into perspective so that it can be rationalized.

I have a saying that I follow regarding this subject. "It's better to know and worry with, than not know and worry more."

I think if you're looking for what hurts less... it's balanced. For having the truth plopped down in front of you is a more painful stinging pain, but it doesn't last as long. The pain of not knowing a truth is long and drawn out, as it woven in with other aspects of life. That's the way I believe anyway. =)
