Stranger

Stranger

A Poem by danalyn

My voice mimics his

When volume increases

And anger unbridled

And tension rises

My face mimics his

When wrinkles grow deeper

And stress grows older

And guilt worsens

My mouth mimics his

When it forms

Furious vowels and constants

Poised to strike, impale, bleed

My body mimics his

Hands a flurry of fury

Of slaps, of self harm

Of a warning

My loneliness mimics his

My temper mimics his

Unflattering, uncontrolled

Unbearable, uncertain

One could drown in her insanity

My wants mimics his

For control, for release

To control when to release

To never let go

My impact mimics his

Broken, unnoticed

Painful gasps untouched

Relations broken, by mirrors

Of a stranger who raised me.

Hellos, Dear, Danalyn,
I enjoyed your poem Stranger,
I love the providence of 'mimic his,'
powerful feelings, conjesturies, the wold you depict,
the fulright of a man who troubles, and mimic to please
a tragic sense, bravo! ----1809 Black Plague December
