winter of '14

a poem obviously written on a cold winter day :-)

it rained and rained
a cold winter rain
is sometimes the worst
so I stayed inside
trying to stay warm
and dreamed of spring's
first morning when
the song of flowers
and birds filled the air
stirred to a gentle breeze
and walking barefoot in
the morning dew
I think not of the winter
or the cold rains to come
