another rain inspired poem

to be the rain
that cools your brow
as you dance uncaring
in the pure essence
of love in the tempest of life

to be the gentle raindrops
you kiss with moist lips
face upturned to the storm
arms wide to embrace chaos

Yes Valentine I remember those days. This was written as a love poem for my girlfriend at the time. Upon rereading the poem I can see how I somehow captured a kind of innocence. Thanks for the review. I do appreciate it and thank you very much.

really like the last lines...reminds me of how i do that often when it is pouring...i look up and kiss the rain.

No I didn't intend the second ' the ' and I am going to correct it right now. Thanks very very much !!! That reminds me of a word puzzle I saw once. It asked ' what is wrong with this sentence?' The sentence was arranged with breaks in it and it was so easy to overlook the superfluous ' the '
