Flash floods of snow replace once august plains of Paperwhite

Mystic rivers freeze over as December lets her true colors shine

Incandescent light spreads throughout this ethereal winter night

As the chariot of Christmas comes to life for yet another fiery ride

Wow-a short poem but I think it says it all. I never thought of Christmas being a chariot but it does make sense. It seems to rush upon us doesn't it?
Just one thing-as snow is white, should it not be replacing plains of a different colour?
Or should it replace them (the august plains) WITH Paperwhite? Brilliant short poem though-well done young man.

I admit. it should replace plains of a different colour, I just wrote this off the top of my head in about two minutes and felt like using the flower Paperwhite in it for some reason lol

Just thinking now. If you wern't trying to distinguish between two colours then it works ok. In other words, one white replaces another? That's good.
