Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis

A Chapter by DoormanDan
"

A poem about the loss of my innocence

"

Once, upon Grimmrose glades,

I capered with Snow-White

Until the sunrise grew somnolent.

Now, I cradle my wilted Rose-Red

As I plant her in her deathbed.

DoormanDan
Once again, this is a rewrite of an older piece of the same name. I briefly considered keeping the hopeful nature of the original, but then realized that a more somber iteration was needed for the story I'm trying to tell in this book.
