"It does! I do!", or The Man with The ShoeA Poem by Daniel SutheranA purposely vague and nonsensical poem with dark, sincere undertones.
"It does! I do!", said the man with the shoe,
and then carried all on with his day. It's a silly, stupid thing for an old, aged thing to do. "It does! I do!", said the man with the shoe, on the day after mentioned before. Such nonsense like this would not go amiss with his pacemaker, new. "It does! I do!", said the man with the shoe, the day after-after before. Don't argue the toss just to show who's not boss, he knew. "It doesn't, you don't", said the woman with the other shoe, calmly, like so many a day before. Off wheeled to bed, not 'right in the head', she knew.
