I Need to Sleep

sometimes its better to shut your eyes and simply exit!

I need to sleep yes I need to sleep

There's nothing victorious about rising up in here

Oblivion is what I always plead

My silence is what they always seek

Now I need to offer them a gift

Craft my breath under white canvas
And dig down in deep

Not one but they gave me a thousand cause

To escape myself from miserable chaos

Nd what miserable I don't knw now

But to wake up would be a painful doubt

I had enjoyed many good nights dreams

Now I need to sleep yes I need to sleep.

Reminds me of a paragraph in my favorite novel. Well translation would be roughly "...For sleep was the only escape for the prisoners. The only path back to the warmth of home. "

Can relate to it easily. I still wants to go with poet woody Gutri who had thousands of reasons to sleep but contributed to humanity, he said world is for all those who wants to sleep or to arise, it is a very fragile and tricky world, it has it's own momentum but arrests us and compel us to sleep, what an ironical drama it plays, liked the poem a lot.

Escapism is powerful and it may rejuvenate us for a little while while we put our thoughts or lives back together to face the storms of life. But it should be a springboard and not permanent. An excellent write...:)..................

Very honest. I liked the way you presented the whole writing even though it was a negative poetry. Sometimes we talk of the dark because we can't tolerate the light... Your poem says it all, so it can't be a negative poem as it tells everything honestly and about the situations when we are afraid of the light. Same goes with me sometimes, I keep myself in dark only because I gather some courage there to face the sudden light. Keep writing...
I believe you can do a bit more better.
