Childhood dreamscape shattered

Rendering only a hollow husk

Skin and bone, wandering, mourning the loss of trust

Dedication, time, build up, anticipation

Nothing

Life goes on with the burning taste of regret lingering in the air

Taunting

Cold, methodical, logical, successful,

gratification, acceptance, accomplishment, affirmation.

There is no going back

Most new series get the initial 'ooomph' and draw people in then the writers demand more money and are sacked and replaced with mediocre writers while the ratings still make it viable - gradually the money for the show and the writers and actors dwindles and it becomes sh1t...

You sound as if you may still be quite young. Yes, the first disillusionments are often the worst. As you get older, you get used to them!
Your poem really impressed me. It is well structured... short, long lines, making an impact. Your words are well chosen and bring across a vivid picture. and your final resolution is very firm. I enjoyed it.
