The Boy the Beggar and Me
A Poem by
chandlerl
The beggar man sits
and waits, alone.
He's waiting for something better
to come along.
A lonely young boy
sits and stares at the wall.
Looking for love,
to walk through the door.
And me?
I lean against the wood work
of this coffee shop railing.
simply anticipating the end.
