chapter twoA Chapter by skylor
Chapter two “why couldn’t you have just met up with me after class like a normal person?!” Skylor asked as he approached the two of them. Kyle looked like crap and Kevin looked plainly irritated. “because we’re not normal,” he paused to sigh, he looked over at Kyle then back at Skylor. “thanks to the two of you.” there was malice in his voice. “now we are the chosen three, we have a sacred duty. The world needs us to save it.” Kyle said folding his arms to his chest, he looked over at Skylor. “I don’t have any destiny, it is not destiny that I’m here! My mother just got tired of dealing with me so she sent me away to England, okay?” Skylor couldn’t believe this, first kyle gets him to read a “spell” which then turns out to really be the chant to unlock their powers and make it so they can save the world. No he would not believe this yet on some level he did, he had felt it when he had read the spell. Skylor folded his arms and met Kevin’s fierce gaze. “I am not a chosen one. I am an animal activist.” then he turned his heal and stormed off. * Skylor opened the dorm door with a loud sigh and turned on the light. As he let his body fall he just wished the world would fade away and that Kyle would leave him alone, along with the ever charming Kevin. His thoughts were jumbled and it was impossible for him to get any sleep at all, then just as his eyelids closed he felt a presence. Something dark and sinister lurked in the doorway, he leapt onto his feet and slipped on his slippers and turned on the light. Light flooded the room, bathing the white creamy canvas walls which now had paintings on them in warm welcoming light. Skylor saw that the door handle was slaming to each side and he covered his mouth so that whatever or whoever it was would not hear his muffled cry of surprise. He peaked in the door way and on the other side of the door was a man with completely black eyes, his mouth moved and black smoke slithered out of it and smacked it self into the door. “let me in you witch!” the demon, or rather black smoke hissed out. Skylor fell behind the door and it was as if he knew what to do. “strength like stone, be in my bones, light sustain in my fight.” he muttered as though he had known this spell. The force outside shirked as a blade of light cut through it, and it disappeared from the hallway. He got to his feet and looked out into the hallway, “Kyle, you will pay for this.” © 2009 skylor |
