Prologue

A Chapter by davishater

The host club was something formed by my cousin Tamaki. He took different types of people and made a host out of them. The 'princely type', the 'cool type', the 'Lolita type', the 'strong and silent type', the little devil types' and the 'natural type'; that's what makes up the host club. I'm jealous, though, he's popular with everyone and I’m not.

I'm the kind of person who doesn't care if he's alone or not. I don't have any friends; no one talks to me and I don't talk to them. My brother, Matt, is in a band so he's never around. My parents are divorced and I live with my mom, but she's always typing up articles on the computer, hoping at least one of them is good enough to be in the papers.

I always seem to find myself going on a bus to Ouran academy to go see my cousin and his six other friends. They’re so nice to me, it's almost like they’re the family I never had.

One day when I was hanging out with Tamaki, one of the girls asked me about my life. "Well, lady's" I said as I flipped my hair, "my life story is too boring. If I told you beautiful ladies about it you would be falling asleep before I even started.”

Then they just stared at me in shock, but after a while one girl fainted and the other squealed. Gosh it was so annoying, but somehow it felt good. I looked at Tamaki and he was surprised, too.

He pulled me aside and said, with a smile on his face, "Hey TK have you ever thought of making your own host club?"

I shook my head, "no why would I? It’s your club."

"Yes, but if I’m going to share the host club with the world, then I need another club and I want you to start it. Besides your more like me than Matt, right?"

"Yeah I suppose your right, wait, but do I have to meet people?"

Tamaki nods his head.

I gasped and told him, "Tamaki, I can't. Meeting new people isn't my thing. I don't even talk in school; if I’m put in a group then I don't work with them. I’m a strait 'A' student but I have no participation points. Tamaki, I’m afraid of people I don't know."

"TK," Tamaki said, “How can you be afraid of meeting new people? You just flirted with those girls."

I started walking away but Tamaki grabbed my arm and said, "TK you’re meant to be a host! Just think about it, please. There’s a boy just a few years older than you from France. He’s coming to live with my family and me. I’ll tell him about the host club, so please just think about it."

I tore my arm away from his grip and walked out of that room, out of that building, off of that campus. Every day I would come as a guest, but today I left, never to return.
