The Brogden Girl

She has the sweeter smile
of an innocent child
she feels safer with me
and that's fine you see

her hair shares the color
of the fire blazing inside
leaves me in the stupor
from all the things I left behind

She makes me lose the burdens
cast on my shoulders
she makes me feel yearnings
coming back, lighting my torch on fire

But, we just met a day
and a day is all I need
to know anyway
I really like her...
