And God, My Only WayA Poem by Donald Colea poem of faith
You knock upon my door It ain't really me I know for years You've been there Just not for me to see To have you in my life There really is no choice For everywhere I go I long to hear Your voice I know not where it comes from I know that it is true I know you are my everything Everything comes from you You bring to me my freedom From my every pain Though I can still feel it Never will it be the same For You've taken it all from me All that I would ever be Nothing more I want to see This is the glory of Your Love Now I've come a little way I hear what the voices say Nothing else matters any way Come and carry my soul away Freedom from my very mind Forever it would only grind the voices just aren't very kind Always seemed I'd be left behind For I didn't fit in anywhere There's nothing else I want to share Some reason here I still do care I just don't want to stay I'll find my peace And love at least And God, my only way.
