In Me

In Me

A Poem by Donald Cole

You have gotten into my mind

Now to bring you to my heart

The words we've shared this far

Seems to be a good start

Just to feel you in my world

And to share even more

Then just to share the rest of me

That I wouldn't share before

I have such hope inside,

for it appears you are a dream

I wonder could you really be

All that it is to me you seem

My heart not easily taken,

And not so easily taken away

And how enticing you are to me

Just from the words you say

I've been a fool for this world

Though this isn't the place for me

My feelings I wonder, wandering

No more blind than me

How shall this all transpire

Through the angst that we do share

Just to know where our path may lead

Our hearts, what lies in there.
