Simple Man

I know that I am just a man
there's only so much I can do
I know I could cherish your love
If I could give my heart to you
I know that it's all complicated
And where else would I go
For your heart just looks so good
So much more I want to know
I've been lost a while now
Would you help me find my way
You see I look for someone true
So I never have to look again
I know what these words mean to me
I wonder what they would mean to

I wait for God to finish me
To thine own self be true
My journey has brought me this far
and on I'm sure to go
Still I'll not want to walk alone
So I'm searching what I know
I know for now I've all I need
That God blesses me in my life
With many gifts indeed
So if you'd look inside your heart
For I may be in there
Then gaze upon this heart of mine
