Remember

Remember

A Poem by Donald Cole
"

a reflection of growth

"

All of the growth I’ve felt
All I’ve felt inside
Oh, the pains that I have recognized
No longer will they hide
This path I have chosen
That has been chosen for me
Now wanting just to become
The part of my reality
I’ve broken a lot of walls
Just to say that they were there
And slowly they start to crumble
Were it just for us to share
The journey isn’t easy
Though simple it may be
But now the bridge no longer broken
We can begin to see
The path that we are taking
Begins as we share whets inside
Instead of living behind my mask
That so well would otherwise hide
So what we need to take away
From our weekend we faced our fear
Will give to us our freedom
If we remember we were here
And we held onto the truths we learned
For there’s nothing else to set us free
As Jesus’ love unconditional
To remember you and remember me

Yes! Such truthful words here, another heartfelt write with such emotion like this one as well.

I liked it a lot, but it was a little confusing.

My favorite line was probably, "I've broken a lot of walls Just to say that they were there."

Keep up the great work!
