Let me, Let You, Take meA Poem by Donald ColeA cry for help, a song
God I love You with all of me
As much as I can give
God guide my feet and keep them true
So that through you I may live
God You’ve known me for all time
Yet still I fail to know who I’ll be
I need your hope, your love, and your mercy
God, let me, let You, take me
When Your world comes flying down
To become a part of mine
When Your love comes flowing through
And You whisper peace be thine
As all of my world looks to You
For there will be no other way
I give to You, the rest of me
And You will hear me say
Take me to this world of yours
My Lord I’m calling to You
Break my heart and make me whole
There is nothing You can’t do.
Jesus I am calling you
To be the light of mine
Jesus I will look to you
To bring my heart to shine
Jesus I reach to You
To take away this pain
Jesus I hold on to You
For how you make me a whole man
Father don’t look down on me
For I am just a man
Father I have sinned against Thee
I’m so easily lost again
Father please take care of me
For I know not what to do
Father please come rescue me
To bring my eyes back to You
