Little Pieces

Little Pieces

A Poem by Donald Cole

In my world I see you
I see you float around
We share a minute here and there
Still, I wonder what you’ve found
You’d show me little pieces
When you look my way
Yet still connected to no one
No one reason to say
I try to reach to your world
If you were even there
And I can show a little more
Of me I’d like to share
And though distant you remain
For your world you keep to you
Yet I can feel your every feeling
That you are going through
And I see you hold your world at bay
So nothing gets inside
For I stand here beside you
And I see through what you hide
So maybe just know these thoughts I hold
That I’m not so far away
And whenever you want to not go through everything alone
All you’ll have to do is say
