The Crosswalks Of My Mind

The Crosswalks Of My Mind

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

Lyrics

"

1st verse

Life is a race

I don’t want to win.

Moving in cruise control

With you by my side

Is what gets

My heart racing.

In a world of bump and grind

I feel better getting left behind.

Chorus

The cross walks of my mind are crowded

But that don’t stop me from seeing my destination.

The cross walks of my mind is full of faces

But it don’t keep your beauty from being my guide.

2nd verse

Life is cluttered

With concrete ideas.

Feeling the breeze blow

You through my mind

Is what keeps

Me dreaming.

In a world of tall buildings

I get high hanging from the window.

Chorus

The cross walks of my mind are crowded

But that don’t stop me from seeing my destination.

The cross walks of my mind is full of faces

But it don’t keep your beauty from being my guide.

Bridge

Through all my fears and doubts

I want to thank you faith

For always believing in me.

Chorus

The cross walks of my mind are crowded

But that don’t stop me from seeing my destination.

The cross walks of my mind is full of faces

But it don’t keep your beauty from being my guide.

Words actually ring true, a ballad type song with real heart, can near hear it set to music. The premise that real passionate love stops you roving is a good thought well repeated. Has a really good 'feel' to it.. would be grand to get it recorded.. have a go! Reminds me of good old fashion Country .. but then I'm a Brit and we don't know these things. Great chorus!

Why thank you so much :)
I really dig the premise of the crowded crosswalks of the mind. Nice how you turned it around and had faith believing in you.
