Paper Thin LifeA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE) These
see through walls Are
leaving paper cuts Upon
my heart. When
you build a house of cards A
whisper becomes a shout. This
ringing in my ears Drowns
out the sound Of
my beating heart. Now
how can I tell… What makes it speed up? What makes it slow down? My
mind feel like A
wet paper bag. I
am afraid if I light a match To
dry it out That
I will be burned By
my own fears. Now
I need to make A
colorful collage From
construction paper Before
I accidentally ingest All
the paste from my childhood. My
one last wish Is
to trade this cardboard sign For
a neon one, Then
I can be a shining star As
seen from heaven. © 2012 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Reviews
