In The Blink Of An Eye(Of A Hurricane)

 

Trust takes eons to build

but can be destroyed

in one moment

like a straw hut in a hurricane

and there is no shelter

that can drown out the pain.

Feelings are fragile

as a crystal vase

that can turn to a stone

when lost at see,

taking forever to be recovered

like a sunken treasure chest.

Choices are a part of life

and human error is inevitable,

it is the ones you make on purpose

that will bite you till you bleed to death.

Ain't that the truth Cowboy. Yes. I see here a lot of motives in this excellent write.
You use the calmness in between the hurricaines eye, the silent before the storm moves further, and yes it can destroy, more than we want, unpredictable, as people, choices and human errors can be too in life... until it's to late... marvelous ending, yes... thank you.

Trust indeed is delicado, like virginity. And breaking one's trust is surely a sin, a great mistake. Is sin a temptation or a will? This question reeled in my head as I read this poem. And I think you're right, we made error on purpose. We see it coming, still we do it. It's a free will. And it will take its toll on us. This is a great write and I liked it.
