Riding The Wings Of Perspective

Riding The Wings Of Perspective

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Just because you’re up high

doesn’t mean you’ve taken the right flight

for angels and gargoyles both have wings

and the spirit is blind to the physical form.

Never judge the eye of the storm

cause even the bluest of eyes

has a dark hole in the center.

The mind already builds its own fences,

don’t let another’s nail it shut

before getting a chance

to discover uncharted plains.

Every stone unturned

might as well be thrown at glass houses

just to give it purpose.

Ignorance like humans has many layers,

maybe that is why we are often

attracted to it.

Just remind yourself that opposites attract

with the purpose of feeling complete.

So much rides on our perspective - absolutely true; I love the wording you used in this piece.

"...for angels and gargoyles both have wings..."

"Every stone unturned
might as well be thrown at glass houses..."

Enjoyed this a lot, Dale!
