I Am

Not for the I Am poetry contest, but it inspired me to write this.

 

 

I am many things

Some of which are a mystery

To even me.

 

I am not defined

Be just a few words even though

My vocabulary is simple.

 

I am something different

To everyone that I meet

What do you see?

 

I am always just me

And as long as I can look in the mirror

That is all I need.

a couple questions...second line "by just a few words"
the "i am able just me" line appears to be missing something...

but overall, i really like how we are not defined by a few simple words...we are much more complicated than that...and what is very true, we really don't know ourselves all that much...that mystery remains to be solved with the rest of our lives..
