Hopeful And HopelessA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)For the I Am Poetry contest
I
am hopeful and hopeless. I
wonder what tomorrow will bring. I
hear my mom’s guidance from heaven. I
see Timbuktu inside a ring of fire. I want the love of Liza V. I am hopeful and hopeless.
I pretend to sing in a band. I feel the moon stalking me. I touch humanity on the hand. I worry that I will be forgotten. I cry at the sight of stray animals. I am hopeful and hopeless.
I understand not everything is what
it seems. I say that all organized religions
are a crock. I dream of being a novelist. I try to make loved ones feel appreciated. I hope that love always conquers
hate. I am hopeful and hopeless. © 2013 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Reviews
