The Power Of Being Left BehindA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)In line four yes I did intend to say death of night instead on dead of night for the purpose of the poem.
Burning trash barrels Line the streets To guide those left behind In the death of night. Cold asphalts serves Exposed flesh well As unintentional martyrs Cross the black sea. Throwing pebbles at Scary sounds in the dark Is a blatant double standard. Chaos becomes God When everyone worships Self preservation. Strength in numbers Builds up the spiritual
guidance That will lead you The newest promise land And show the cowards That left you behind That you are stronger than
they. © 2013 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Author's Note
