Burnt Philosophy

 

Putting an emotional match

To pyrotechnic memories

Can create the fire

That blows up the promises

Of the future

Like a building demolition display.

Intellectual thoughts

From life’s wisdom

Turns into metaphorical plaster

Used to mold

An identical brain

So you can see

Just how hollow

The mediocrity of the media

Can make your freewill.

Original thoughts

Turning into

Astrological projections

Is the side effect

Of swallowing the logical pill

Society hands you

With the same grinning intent

As the witch giving

Snow White the poisoned apple.

If taken the only cure

Is taking two shots

Of purified water

And calling yourself out

In the darkness.

I am not a fan of the media either as you can tell, their influence makes people stupid things, I mean they are responsible for women starving themselves by shoving the ice that only skinny is beautiful down their throats. Okay enough ranting, thank you.

Back to waxing philosophical I see, that didn't last long Dale. I don't have to call myself out, my evil twin does that for me, just saying, this is like my burnt toast this ayem...leaves an aftertaste. this was hard hitting and truthful. Media is like a disguised witch handing the masses a rotten apple. and we fall for the disguise over and over again. un aware of the fact that we are being stripped of our humanity, losing naturally abilities, disconnected. good words!

You speak the deep truth, the media is touring the masses into zombie sheep… and technology is taking away our humanity and loyalties.

media does influence us all too much...

so many celebrity couples get that exposure that eventually tears them apart.

but for any of us..rumor, mistrust, misunderstood words can all be arsonists that burn down a building of trust that we thought was impenetrable.
