A Familiar DarknessA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
A reborn shadow Speaks in tongues Leaving the voice of reason To re-evaluate the price Of Silence in its golden state. The dark entity Slips through iron bars In hopes of escaping The fate of a homestead cemetery A second time around; Hope is breathing fire Trying to thaw its icy heart In so allowing the feeling Back into transparent fingertips; For when hanging By a thread It will know when The end is near. This shadow knows A fall into the abyss Will go on and on Passing through a familiar hell. Without a soul to break its fall… This darkened déjà vu Has become a repeated
penance. © 2014 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Reviews
