Sometimes having it all doesn't mean enlightenment. In this case, I think I'd agree. We're all so caught up in our technology and our busy lives so that we don't take the time to stop and smell the roses....

hmmmm, thinking on this one a bit, and I believe you are correct, there is wisdom in the hills and country that concrete can not abide, but still under all that carmack is a soul scratching for the surface, loved this write ( for reasons unknown, it just feels nice)

This is a good write, with great images. Your style is "simply deep" -- I do think though that you probably meant "than most city folk" rather than then.
I would love to find this place and spend a few months just experiencing a simple life. Sigh... once again you have shared some wisdom here Cowboy. Enjoyed this one...

I dream of a village with no name. Should I find it I might be like Dr. Watson and disappear for a decade or two. I love the heart of this poem, its longing for simplicity in such a complex world.
