Stained Glass Requiem

Stained Glass Requiem

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

I died in the blink

Of those eyes

When your pupils became

The black holes

That sucked my guilt

Into a darkened state

Of mind.

Floating in the nothingness

Of your conscience

I feel like the bubble

That will burst

Inside your heart

When you come crashing down

On pins and needles.

Pride has become a dirty syringe

Filled with empty sorrows

You inject into

My already thin bloodline,

Leaving me bleeding to death

On a bed of

Cracked stained glass.

There are times when we are just not good for each...or as our addicted minds think we are oh so good together...too good to let go... Your piece reminds me that even when it's so beautiful I just have to have it...it might not be mine to have. Thank you for sharing. I am quickly becoming a fan:)
