Not all is as it seems…

 

Misplaced memories are

Tucked away in the basement

Of the mind.

Missed place opportunities

Lie like dust

On antique dreams

Put on a garage sale shelf…

         Neglected, forgotten;

Within this cerebral museum

A déjà vu spirit

Stands guard in wait,

Protecting what is valuable

To the sub-conscious

In its war against

         The media zombies.

and I like this piece Cowboy. In a way it i s uplifting to know, one is not alone in supporting free thinking apart from groups or media… it happens far to often, people seem to take sides over common sense..

i love this, Dale...

my thought is....if i buy one of these misplaced dreams at the garage sale...what am i really getting...

and will i just end up putting it up for sale at my next garage sale...sometimes we just get so timid about "going for it"---we play it way too safe. And then life passes us by.

And media does have a lot to do with it...they scare us too much..

i wonder if the world is that much more dangerous now than when i was a kid in NYC...or is it media?
i used to go across the street to the park almost every day in summer...all by myself...and i was 6, 7 and 8 years old...and walked four blocks to school also..my mom never thought twice about that...and i survived.
