Tainted Medicine

 

Tactical fears

Torment the mind

By forcing bitter pills

Down the intellectual vortex,

Full of medicine

That should expand

A healthy individuality

While subliminally

Turning it into

A broken television set.

Spit it out with force

In the face of fear

So it can taste

The facts

And choke on the truth

That you, and only you

Determine the means

Of healing the lies

That the world

Cut you with.

It reminds me of a line I penned in one of my poems I wrote where I said, "I tried to digest all the B.S, the pills you gave me..."

You are amazing to me how you can come up with poetry and never seem to have any writers block. I think it's bec you write so much. I haven't been able to write much lately, and I need to more.

True! I love the directness and the calling out. Most of us are so far from the truth we forgot what it was....running around blind and afraid while others around us know what your truth is. The world is full of it. The home is full of it. The churches, news, schools all of it, truth is so easy so why is it avoided? Idiocy!

so many pills they offer and it is only us who can refuse to take them... but there is something else they try and dilute our understanding of... truth is truth and its true whether we accept it or not... they would like us to think that truth is like an a-hole and everyone has their own, but truth is for everyone to learn and discover and use to change things...

this quite the metaphor...life cuts us, there is fear...there are lies...and only we can cut through the cuts to see the real bleeding, and exactly what is bleeding out...is it truth? or not?

that is for us to determine...and those pills forced down our intellectual vortex, not the remedy.
