Metaphorically Beautiful Mess

 

I’m a maze

       Without an end;

Dreaming in black and white

Saving the color

              To mesh fantasy

                      And reality

Into one beautiful painting.

 

Carving my own tombstone

To look like a mushroom,

       So when I’m dead and buried

My spirit can continue to grow

              In the dark.

I don't know. I was hoping for Purgatory Inn. I wanted to leave the rotting body behind. Nice flow of thoughts led the reader to a dark ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
