We Are All Instruments In The Music Of Life

 

 

The music is all around us;

Going beyond

What is heard

From non-living instruments

Or mass produced

With digital detail.

 

Mother Nature

Sing to us everyday;

In gentle tones,

Or raging vocals,

For she feels love and pain

Just like you and me.

 

We are all, I mean all

Instruments carved with care

By the hands of God;

We go through life

Creating songs

Expressing our moods,

Emotions and perceptions.

 

Never let anyone else

Determine the key

Your vocals sing in,

Or write the lyrics

That will become your legacy

Long after your requiem is played.

 

I myself am no saint or minion;

Though sometimes

I sing off key

When belting out a hymn

Of life, love or faith

I know the harmony of my heart

Is intended to be uplifting.

 

Remember when a dark chord

Disrupts with your verse

Just hold that note

Till the angel within

Turns that minor misfortune

Into a major ovation.

 

We are all an instruments

In the music of life;

The only question is

What kind of symphony

Do you want to compose

That will forever be played

In the concert hall

Of every heart

You’ve created a love song with.

this reminds me of stevie wonder's "songs in the key of life"

all the chords we hit a long the way as our song of existence plays out, hopefully in harmony with mother nature's vocals...a duet of time and space and life's place.

The title really stood out to me and now that I've read it, I think these words are something that will impact all of our lives forever. We ARE all instruments that play the music of life, and we are the ones who decide what kind of music. That is a very good way to describe how a person lives their life, and since I love music myself, it's even better! Great philosophies, super well-written and this poem definitely rings with truth.

First off, this is something splendid for me as a music lover. Indeed we are all instruments here on earth--we can make our own melody based on the life we live. Our own life story is a simple melody we sing to the world. But you are right...what kind of melody do we want others hear from us?
