Legend Of The Steel DragonA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Fantasy based on metaphorical reality. Words in Parenthesis are names of bands or songs.
Your
legacy has no rust For it was meant to shine, Even
with heavy wings You still take flight To such
a distant land Called Rock And Roll Kingdom, Where
the princess speaks Like a power ballad, But her
prince in waiting Has the emotions of a “Motorhead”, Sent on
a mission To save the royal damsel From a
horrible fate Worse than thrash metal, And brining
her back To the arms of the jester Who’s
love for her Is steady as a melodic melody, You
strike, “Two Minutes To Midnight”, A surprise attack, Putting
the guards In a prison of fear, By the
time they escape Their mental “Iron Maiden” They are
left “High ‘N’ Dry” Without the princess, When she
places a kiss On your chrome cheek To thank
you for being Her “Armored Saint”, You can
see why The jester sighs When
speaking of Her natural charms, With
piercing eyes Of a raven That
could light up A Knight’s soul; Her
black hair Like a beautiful night, Her skin
shining Brighter than the northern star, She made
your heart melt Like gold in “7800 Degrees Fahrenheit”, But your
loyalty lies with Your brother of a different species, So you
rest in content That you will always be The
“Metal God” That saved a “Dark Beauty”…
From that “Fall From Grace”.
