If The Stars Ever BlackoutA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Unconditionally
If
there was a power surge From all
the hate in my universe Causing
a blackout of the stars In my
world, I know
there would still be The light
of the moon by my side; For the
love we share Is not
of this world; Therefore
giving me a place to stay That will
not weigh down My anxieties
and fears, Allowing
them to drift away Into a
dark eternal abyss Until
the sun rises To warm
my heart with hope.
If
there is ever a power surge In your
universe From too
many lies and neglect Causing
the stars in your world To blackout, Just know
I would gladly be your moon, For you
have always been The sun
that brightens my soul. © 2014 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Author's Note
