You Are Write For MeA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)How
can I put into words What
I feel about The
ink that flows from your pen? When
past reviews on your poetic soul By guys with no artistic class Causes
you to doubt your abilities And
question whether my verses of affection Could
easily be erased; Not
that I blame you one bit When
another’s abuse of the English language Was
so smooth that you slipped With
nothing to break your fall But
the heart on your sleeve, That
took the brunt of the damage.
Shall
I write in my private journal, Repeating
the words that ring true About
how deeply I feel for you, For
I wear mine on my sleeve too. For
you it is an open book to read any chapter you like; May
one day you comprehend what is between the lines To
see what is truer than fiction, That
your heart is a book too valuable To
be put on a shelf collecting dust, Rather
to be held closely to my chest Cause
it is perfectly clear that your soul is right for mine. © 2014 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Reviews
