Midnight StormA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
A dark brooding tree Bends but doesn’t break In an unexpected midnight
storm. An unknown shadow shivers Then disappears inside The solid trunk of the tree. Many leaves get swept away From the very branches That gave them life, Getting lost in the freedom That the darkness has brought. The abandoned branches Seek comfort in thoughts Of someday becoming firewood. The shadow peeks out, Looking for the safety Of the sunrise It can run to, Cause the spirits Divine that the magnificent
tree Is about to be cut down In it’s prime, What was not foretold Is that it will be Resurrected in the form Of a home For someone in need of shelter From the witchin’ hour storm Still to come, But already set in motion.
