Don't Drink And Write,You Could Wreck Your Feelings (And Somebody Could Get Hurt)

Don't Drink And Write,You Could Wreck Your Feelings (And Somebody Could Get Hurt)

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

One beer

       Two beer

              Three beer;

       Now I can write;

With my emotions numb

And my vision unclear

I can spill the ink

And it will still make sense.

       Fourth beer chugged;

Now I can say

What I couldn't before

And still claim

Plausible deniability.

Fifth beer downed;

Now what I print

Will remind me

What the subconscious

Won’t say,

Once reality sobers me up.

       Six beers later;

The evidence is gone,

Now I can pass out in peace

Before I express

What I sense

When my thinking isn’t clear,

And hurt my own feelings

With intoxicating truth.

I think it was Hemingway that said to write drunk and edit sober (before you post).
