Love the edits you've made. You came up with a better solution for my suggestion. "To save her sanctuary's secrets" has a good rhythm and I like the alliteration. "The number of the beast" is a powerful image also. I think I'm going to save this in my favorites.
The balance of the Halo is gone- metaphorically rich as this poem it reminds me of the poem,"Sick Rose" by William Blake. A tempting down to earth read.

This one is very sad, Cowboy. No angel should sacrifice her wings for anyone. Bad boys aren't worth it in the end, and the last line gives me chills. Great write, my friend.
Very Poe-ish :) I have no clue about the punctuation, so I will leave that to Jennie below, I am trying to figure out how this makes me feel, sad for her, I think, but in a bizarre way I want to cheer for her, lol.
