A Duet With You

I get so mushy that I make myself sick sometimes. LOL

My heart has always

Had a beat in a rhythm of its own,

Trapped in my body

But has the freedom

To make up its own mind.

 

Ever since it heard the music

Of your heart,

That tender ballad it sings

Has become my heart’s obsession.

 

Now all it wants to do

Is break out of my rib cage

And build a studio built for two,

Creating a sound of our own,

A duet that only we can hear.
