Fearless Feline

Fearless Feline

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

She walks beneath

The pale moonlight,

Using its lunar glow

As a source of power

In her eye’s defense

Against midnight’s evil plan

To destroy her independent essence.

Strutting her stuff

Along the devil’s fence,

Without claws to pierce the heart

Of the hell hound guarding the gate

Every time she falls from grace.

With a feline savvy,

She refuses to give in

To the catastrophe that stole

One of her nine lives.

I love Black cats and they are good luck I had one he

He was simply Beautiful I love animals what can I say and
He was more Beautiful then the Midnight we called him Moriah that
means Wind.

I simply loved these Stanza's lines.

Thank you so much Sye
How she comes alive in the darkness beneath the brilliant moonlight... and you breath so much nuance over her. Love the mood you create!

Thank you so much :))
A great cat tale - and a great metaphor for a person who has made it through her share of skirmishes... Good one here, Dale!

Thank you again Rita, always appreciate you reading and responding to my work.
our cat back in Lockport, years ago was declawed but that never stopped her from being fiercely protective of herself and us...
she had more than nine lives i think.

and her name was "midnight"
she had that essence...

That is a very cool story… thanks Jacob.
This was intriguing, and also funny in not so haha kind of way but in the way that there is a mother cat that is a stray and lives in the electrical meter box closet next door that goes cross-eyed with fury every time I try to walk my dog. I find my self having to carry the dog past her spot or she comes hissing. scary s**t. great poem.
