Over The EdgeA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)My
desire to raise my arms in protest Of
the cliff’s restrictions to how far I can go Grows
stronger every time I look at the view below And
see the dangerous beauty that awaits my Suicidal
dream to come true.
The
power of those dark waves crashing against the rocks Raises
my senses to uncharted heights, Giving
my emotions a good reason to feel so low.
“A
leap of faith”, the devil whispers in my ear, While
the angel on the other side of my soul Looks
at me with her best poker face and breaths a sigh.
That
final step into a water abyss Could
finally be the funeral that I have always dreamed of Since
I first breathed following my rebirth, But
I will never know until I hold my last breath And
take the fall with grace…
So I close my eyes and put my
best foot forward. © 2014 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Reviews
