(It's Not) All About Eve

Just my thoughts on one of the world's oldest topics.

 

So it is written

That she defied God

By being the first

To taste the sweet forbidden,

I say she was

An innovator

By showing us that

Life goes on

Even when we

Error in judgement.

 

So it is said

That she was

Man’s first temptation,

I think she showed us

That the road to sin

Is not in sexuality

But rather in the mind

Of those who fear

What they don’t understand.

 

Many believe she brought evil

Into this world,

I believe that she was the first

To teach us that evil exists

In this world,

And it takes moral strength

In fighting it.

 

She was the first role model

To all the woman

That Came after her,

You don’t have to be

The ideals that man

Has placed upon you.

 

You may think this poem

Is all about Eve,

But really it is about

Women all over the world

That you can be

Anything you want to be.

 And not held down

By man’s weak mindedness.

It's never all about Eve really; and since time began it's taken two to tango. And we ought not to forget of course that there are two difference narratives; Adam and Eve being created together and given instructions to multiply by God, being my favourite. :) :)

I know that the man is in charge in the home
but god didn't create us as Entertainment for men
we are partners working together but I know you already
know that Dale the men that don't they have no heart and
it is all lust and sex no love they see us as Objects
they are to protect us not walk all over us.
