Remembering The Rain

I found out a great poet and human being passed away today. Ray Neighbor who went by the pen name Rain on here hast lost is long standing battle with cancer. He live on through his words and heart.

Do not cry me a river

For I have swam ashore

To the place that has freed

Me from the pain,

Where I shall now roam eternally

In a garden blooming with the beauty

Of all the love shown to me

During my time in human form.

 

Do not mourn the loss of a body

I only inhabited on my mortal journey,

Rather honor my soul

For it is truly who I am.

It is how I shall live on

For it shines bright enough

So I can watch over my loved ones

Especially in their darkest of times.

 

If you keep me in your heart

I promise mine will always beat

Within you,

Just hold your hand

To your chest

For all the proof you need.

 

Every time it RAINs

I will be reaching out

For a hug

And a slow dance of memories.
