ARM-ed And RED-y

ARM-ed And RED-y

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Dipping my vein

Into the matter of the heart

I begin writing on my arm,

Spelling it out in cursive

To make my life look fancy;

But it is plain to see

All my verses are simply put.

Being careful not to spill any,

Yet still I get tiny droplets

On a already dirty floor

Staining other people’s soles.

It is in my blood to write,

Therefore even when I am wrong

I express my self in crimson

Until there is nothing left,

For it all comes so naturally

Since I am right handed.

You and I are kindred spirits. Say it straight, not a lot of fluff. Nothing wrong with that. Nor with fluff, either, as long as it is well appointed fluff.

+very well said my friend… thank you… I am reading this one on air tonight.
This is amazing! I love your comparison between blood and ink...all writers have that metaphor apply to them.

Yes we all do indeed, thank you so much.
Hey, Dale. This is excellent. The title speaks so much of your cleverness and creativity. Also, I agree with what you said...blood...it's writers' ink.

Thank you so very much… I do like my titles to be clever and reflect the poems mood.
To the poet, ink flows as lifeblood... brilliant. I like the bit of with at the end, too - great piece, Dale!

Thank you so much, I was trying to add a little humor in there.
Brilliantly put. We writers should bleed black honestly, or blue maybe. It just depends on the ink you use.

That is so very true, thank you sir.
I loved the play of words here- with the title and yes the soles.. i was really confused. Many of my unartistic pals told me not to write too much. I just told em to shove off!! You are right man- its in our blood to write. And we will! :) it was a power booster.. thumbs up buddy!

Was this poem I wasn't sure as you didn't tell me
the title ?

I love it lovely with the blood and
the soles of ones feet getting dirty.

Being careful not to spill any,

Yet still I get tiny droplets

On a already dirty floor

Staining other people’s soles.

Thank you for your lovely words
and reviews and comments you left
on my page.

You got that right sir… thank you Jacob.
A quirky and powerful punch here...I like how you infer soul's in the second stanza, you might be right handed, but you throw a mean left hook.....

Why thank you Moonbeam, it helps to have many kinds of punches to keep people on their toes.
