9/11-I Will Not Be Broken(Will You)

Reflecting on that tragic day and how it effected me.

It will always be a day we never expected

         And will surely never forget.

A day that gave me feelings of anger

That I now regret.

 

But also gave me feelings of love

         For those I forgot to remember,

         Forever brining me closer to those

                  Already wrapped up in my heart,

         Serving as a reminder that other hearts

                  Are not that different than mine,

         And to take a chance on someone I adore

                  While I still have the time.

 

It is a day that could have

Consumed me with fear and hate…

But I choose to let it instill within me

 

                  COURAGE AND HOPE!!

Baby every time 9/11 comes :( it is a painful day
I hate to see one hurt and suffering like that.

I open my eyes to the mystery and it gave me a view of the world's soul. I adore that it brought you hope and courage even through the pain of it's angst. This makes me believe that preservation and grace are still lingering....somewhere tween here and the moon. YOU ROCK....but then again... your a Cowboy! :)

A different view on the events that tore our country apart. I think we felt a myriad of emotions on that day, but yes, it's a reminder for hope, love and courage as your poetry gleaned so well.

I had a long talk with my dad on this matter... yeah it was an event that shook the roots of world peace. We were safe in our homes but some lost their dear lives.. we may be sorry that we lost them. But i feel more sorry for the ones who striked this terror.. a very touching poem Dale. You have earned my respect by writing this. ★ bow★

Don't know if it's appropriate to say this, but, anyway: such disasters horrify, threaten, weaken.. yet give a different view of what life really means; how we can misuse each and every day because we don't care what tomorrow holds in its fists. That was the most awful day, right this moment can see the tv. coverage, the sounds and scenes - awful, just awful.

But yes, there has to be a gentler kind of fall.out. This holds hope and - that's the ultimate.

The best possible takeaway lesson from that day. It's hard not to be thrown back to that day today, as I stood in the same classroom, praying with a new generation of kids... We did talk about treating others with love, because there are no guarantees... This is beautiful, Dale.
