Your heart was in the right place.

 

Scientifically speaking

Your intentions and the bad situation

Are like oil and water.

 

Mathematically speaking

One sympathetic gesture

Minus the sincerity

Ads up to zero effectiveness.

 

So let me put this in plain English,

You cannot fix the ending to the story

With just one simple sentence.

and yes you're right about we can't fix the
ending in the real world in reality but when we
write the story the Ending can be whatever we
want it to be.

Makes me think how when a relationship is nearing the end, that words begin to be thrown around in order to resuscitate it. But what good is the 3 word sentence if it lacks a foundation of truth? It's like one readable sentence, buried among 500 pages of gibberish. After awhile, even that sentence begins to lose its meaning.
