Won't you...said the spider to the fly...then you're trapped into that web of lies and lured into that deceitful devious game before you know it..great metaphorical piece...nicely expressed..
Oh, Dale...very well played. The black widow is a perfect example, producing such powerful toxins, killing her mate with a sting after sex, and weaving her wicked web for the unwary...an expert at the web of lies and deceit. Very nice write, my friend. Men should be wary, because those arachnids are out there waiting...and they are very good at their trade of guile and deceit, tempting the unwary into their lair...very nice indeed.

Ooh! A metaphor wrapped in a sinister package, Dale. Phobia - an irrational fear... but what should we fear if not that treacherous web? Excellent!

ah.. my friend there are many webs within this world and as one leaves this world to another in dreams.. a far worse fate can find you.. can it not... and the dream catcher with all its hopes and promise can be used in other ways for a spider.. or humanity... Awesome write.. I applaud you..

Why thank you ever so kindly. I am happy you enjoyed my writing,
What a metaphor! Seriously, these arthropods have received such a bad rap that few of us realize the ecological significance their role plays in nature.
they get such a bad rap...but they really do help get rid of other insects...
but i can't help imagining David Hedison at the end of the original Fly..
stuck in the web, yelling "help me , help me"
often we tell a small lie to get out of trouble, but then that just makes us tell more lies and we get more and more entangled in the web...until we are merely food for the spider of life.

Excellent analysis of my work, thank you kindly sir.
Interesting analysis. I was once deathly afraid of the little creepers. Thought it was stupid, so I forced myself to pick them up until I started liking them. I started with a Rosy Orb Weaver. If you can't see beauty in that, you are doomed.
